It is not calibrated, but empirical data proves it to be accurate within a few degrees of actual temperature. The sensing device is partially enclosed and mounted to the rubber tubing attachment, so the time to respond to temperature change will be relatively slow. The sensor should not be placed in direct sunlight, as the radiant heat will become trapped inside the enclosure and will cause higher readings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe MS-TPD can be used as either an airflow sensor or a pressure sensor. The output barbs from the sensor can be “relocated” through the use of plastic tubing. This will allow the device to measure the input\/output volume of air handling units and\/or to monitor pressure differentiation from inside a computer room to the outside. In addition, the MS-TPD will report the temperature of its environment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sensor needs 12 volts to be supplied on the cable in order to work properly. It can either be used with a \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.ibuttonlink.com\/products\/linkhube\"\u003eLinkHub\u003c\/a\u003e, which will supply 12 VDC via the \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.ibuttonlink.com\/products\/hubpwr5-na\"\u003eHubPwr5\u003c\/a\u003e, or with an MS-PWR when using a\u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.ibuttonlink.com\/products\/linkusb\"\u003e LinkUSB\/LinkUSBi\u003c\/a\u003e or a \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.ibuttonlink.com\/products\/link45\"\u003eLink45\/Link45i\u003c\/a\u003e.
