This sensor measures temperature using a DS-2438Z with an operating range of -40°C to +85°C. It is not calibrated, but empirical data proves it to be accurate within a few degrees of actual temperature. The sensing device is partially enclosed and mounted to the PCB, so the time to respond to temperature change will be relatively slow. The sensor should not be placed in direct sunlight, as the radiant heat will become trapped inside the enclosure and will cause higher readings.
In addition to measuring temperature, the MS-TV also measures DC voltage in the range of 0 to +10 volts. The voltage can be sourced from most other sensors that produce a DC voltage signal in the range of 0 to +10 VDC. Two 30 inch 18-gauge sense wires are extended from the unit box.
The MS-TV can measure devices that are not 1-Wire compatible.
