About the DS1923-F5# Hygrochron

The DS1923-F5# is a high-resolution iButton® focused on applications that require humidity logging and containing a complete temperature and humidity logging system. This is a reliable, flexible, low-cost data logger with excellent battery life. The DS1923-F5# is great in applications such as food preparation and processing, transportation of sensitive goods, warehouse monitoring, and environmental studies.

The temperature range of this device is -20°C to +85°C with an accuracy range of ±0.5°C in the range of -10°C to +65°C after software correction. The humidity range is 0% to 100% relative humidity. The DS1923-F5# has a programmable resolution of 0.5°C for the 8 bit and 0.0625°C for the 11 bit. The device can read 8192 values at a logging rate of 1 second to 273 hours for the 8 bit, and the 11 bit can read 4096 values in with the same logging rate. The DS1923-F5# is calibrated against a NIST traceable source. A NIST traceable certificate for any DS1923-F5# purchased from iButtonLink is available for download on the Maxim website. This product comes with a Maxim Integrated certificate rated to 0.5 °C. If you are using our Hygrochrons for an application where you need a more accurate reading around a specific range of points, we suggest adding our 3-Point Accredited Temperature Calibration. Our 3-Point Accredited Temperature Calibration is for temperature only and does not give added data accuracy to the humidity readings of the Hygrochron.

NOTE: Maxim Integrated Circuits reliability studies have shown that the device survives a minimum of 1000 cycles of condensation and drying, but this product is not guaranteed for extended use in condensing environments.
